On July 16, 2025, at 8:00 AM, Mr. Wachiraphong Yotmek, Secretary of the Foundation for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage at Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan
, was assigned by Mr. Apinan Phueakphong, President of the Foundation, to conduct an outreach activity aimed at raising awareness among students at Tessaban Wat Yai School, the eighth school visited in this campaign.
The initiative focuses on educating students about the cultural and historical significance of Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It aims to encourage participation from schools, local temples, and surrounding communities in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
This campaign is part of Thailand’s efforts to nominate the site for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2026, in accordance with the Cabinet resolution dated January 28, 2025.
